ESXi 7 not able to connect vCenter

Hi All,

I'm facing challenge to connect esxi host to vcenter, which was working previously after changing  vmkernel  port for management. since than ESXi not responding in vCenter.

I did some troubleshooting and found some wired issue in esxi 7   that can be interesting for all of you.

Note:- vCenter and ESXi is in same vlan and same subnet.

vpxa service is running  and listen on port 902  -- but  not able to connect in vcenter ,  esxi host is  reachable from vcenter.

ssh service is running and listen on port 22----but  not able to access esxi  over ssh.

hostd service is running  and listen on port 443--  able to access esxi UI .

I ran nmap scan to verify  open ports in esxi  and found  443/tcp is open but 22 and 902  did not come in nmap scan  while services are running fine.

also tried to check with telnet that also not connecting .

i have attached screenshot for quick understanding .

Please check and suggest how can i fix it.

Thanks in advance.

What happens if you revert the change you made? Does that fix the issue?

Is this the only ESXi host having these issues? Did you restart the ESXi host already? If they are in the same VLAN (ESXi/vCenter) there is not much that can go wrong unless you have firewall services configured on the ESXi host.

Yes, There are  two esxi but  facing issue with one host only.

No As It is running in production environment  only i have restarted management services not host.

I have disabled host firewall  but issue is the same.
