ESXi 7.02 VM netwiork and MGT network the same network

Hi All

I build a VMweare ESXi box  but I cant ping a windows vm (192.168.1.5) from the network.  There is only 1 network   192.168.1./24

The ESXI Host is  192.168.1.241  which the managment network.  can the the windows VM be moved on the the mgt network ?

Please check whether the VM's Firewall allows ICMP (ping) traffic. Most current Windows versions block ICMP by default.

Does this have anything to do with NSX?

Well the mgmt port group is a vmkernel interface and the VM should be on a port group. Anyway have you make sure the vNic on the VM is connected to the network on the VM settings? Does the VM have an IP address DHCP/Static? Have you checked network access from the host itself?
