I am trying to get ESXi7.0 U2 to install on a NUC 10 for an eval in my lab. When I install, the onboard NE1000 is seen and assigned to the management network without issues. But if I plug in a USB NIC during installation or after it is not seen. If I do a lsusb -tv it can see the device, but ESXi cannot use it. The USB NIC has a AX88179 chipset, if that matters.
NOTE: I can install 7.0 with the USB NIC Fling and it sees the USB NIC with no problems, but it cannot see the NE1000 then. 🙄
Any suggestions? I have been beating my head against a wall with this all day
