ESXi 6 and Intel J1900

Hello,

I tried to install ESXi 6.0.0 on my ASRock Q1900-ITX motherboard. This board is running an Intel J1900 Quad-core-SOC.

Unfortunately the installation failed at "Relocating modules...". I also tried ESXi 5.5U3, 5.1U2, 5.0U3 without success.

I know the board is not on VMwares HCL, anyway most Consumer boards aren't on the list but ESXi runs fine on them.

It seems the error has to do with the Bay Trail-Chipset on that board.

There are several "solutions" in the internet, e.g. setting ignoreHeadless=TRUE and several other switches but the installation still failes.

Is there any workaround for this or has VMware plan to include support for that chipset into ESXi?

Installation of XenServer 6.5 finishes without any error but I'd really prefer to use ESXi because it is already familiar to me.

Regards
