ESXi 6 adding second network controller to VM, cannot choose different network

ESXi 6 adding second network controller to VM, cannot choose different network

I created a separate switch with its own network, own network controller. When adding to the vm the controller I cannot select this network.

i can see you have 3 vswitch created.

vSwitch 0 : VM Network (For Vms Network)

vSwitch 1: Vmotion (For Vmotion)

vSwitch 2: DAG ( ??) This is the one you created for the VM Network and want to add in your virtual machine NEtwork Label list ? If this is the scenario Than change this vmnetwork type to Virtual Machine Port Group instead VMkernal Port

Always make sure that you have make this switch as Virtual Machine Port Group for all the vm related traffic.

As mentioned by , you created a VMkernel port group instead of a virtual machine port group on vSwitch2. Assuming that the IP address 172.16.10.4 is intended to use in the guest OS, you may simply delete the "DAG" VMkernel port group and create a virtual machine port group on vSwitch2 instead.
