It seems to be, but not as a pass-through device. The HCL does not qualify such devices for pass-through and, typically, you probably shouldn't be trying to do it in the first place as it negates much of the benefits of virtualization.
I don't recommend passing storage cards through to VMs. Let ESXi handle the storage and you just create virtual disks. Otherwise continue to use physical hardware.
