ESXi 6.7 U3 cannot detect Transcend SSD

I bought Transcend SSD TS512GMTE220S 512GB for creating my home lab on Intel NUC10i7FNH

But it cannot be recognized by ESXi 6.7 U3 (also 7.0) when I try to install ESXi on it. However I tested it with Windows 10 and everything works fine. The problem is ESXi doesn’t have driver for this SSD.

Any idea for this?

Thank you in advance.

Did you check if the device is in compatibility matrix?

You can use an usb drive or satadom to install and boot esxi. Then maybe one is installed you will be able to use the SSD to store your vms even if it is not supported.

Try installing in a USB, I would do that in your place!

You need to check the driver and firmware versions on vmware hcl. I do not think there is a problem with the disk. There could possibly be a driver problem on the raid controller side where the disk is connected. Have you tried testing with different versions of ESXi?
