ESXi 6.7 U2 VMs invalid state after boot

Hi,

i have upgrade my server and moved the datastore vm disks from the MB SATA ports to HBA LSI 9300 i8 (flash to IR). when ESXi booted all vms display as invalid and the storage disk not showing the disk name. see attache screen shot. i'm able to mount them manually from the CLI and all of the 6 VMs are working fine, however when i reboot the ESXi they not loading again. i also tried to unregister and register all the VMs but it didn't work. i have attached one of the VMs files inc logs.

will be great if you can help

Thank you

esxcfg-volume -m datastore1

Please note there's a difference between a lower-case "-m" (non-persistent across host reboots), and an upper-case "-M" (persistent across host reboots). So it's the upper-case "-M" option that you want to use in this case.

Please take a look at e.g. https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1011387 for how to use the different mount commands, and options.

Did you already check the vmkernel.log to see whether it contains detailed information regarding this issue?

Which controller firmware/driver version is used (see e.g. VMware Compatibility Guide - I/O Device Search)?

Which CLI command (please provide the exact/complete command) do you use to mount the datastore?

Yes i can find the following not sure if its related to the manual mounting of the VM and rest cant tell what is related.

2019-08-15T06:37:50.724Z cpu14:2100281)WARNING: NFS: 1227: Invalid volume UUID 5baac5a6-7500c680-a2ca-0cc47adb3218

2019-08-15T06:37:50.743Z cpu14:2100281)LVM: 16741: File system '[datastore1, 5baac5a9-8baef0ac-5482-0cc47adb3218]' (LV 5baac5a6-7500c680-a2ca-0cc47adb3218) mounted in 'rw' mode.

i used the following CMD to mount the VMs:

[usr@localhost:~] esxcfg-volume -m datastore1

or

[usr@localhost:~] esxcfg-volume -m 5baed389-20b43070-cce9-0cc47adb3218

the HBA i'm using is avago LSI 9300 8i i think is supported

Thank you
