We have a new server with a LSI MegaRAID 9361 controller. I would like to be able to monitor the RAID volume's member disk status from vCenter & and the HTML5 client. I'm currently using the default "lsi_mr3" driver, but can switch to the old "megaraid" driver if necessary. I've been on Broadcom's website, all over lots of dead links (currently) on vmware.com, and have checked their Compatibility Guide... I'm having no luck.
Anyone able to point me in the right direction?
Did you try with SMIS provider https://www.broadcom.com/products/storage/raid-controllers/megaraid-sas-9361-8i#downloads

I believe this should work after installing SMIS provider. https://www.vladan.fr/install-smis-provider-lsiavago-controller-card-vmware-esxi/
Use the HCL to determine which drivers are supported for your hardware keeping in mind there are several 9361 models. Also, although it may not be the case with this model, very often the individual drives are abstracted away from ESXi's view, so you may not be able to perform health monitoring on individual drives if they are behind RAID.
As mentioned, I've already checked the Compatibility Guide.
As to different 9361 models: they're all the same controller, just with differing number of ports. Same driver, same CIM provider (if there is one).
So, the issue remains unchanged. I'm still trying to track down a CIM provider for this controller.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

vijayrana968,
You were absolutely correct. In previous generations, there was a SMIS package for remote administration of the array and a CIM provider for health monitoring. It looks like they merged the CIM into the SMIS package.
Many thanks!
