We have an ESXi server that we need to disable TLS 1.0 on. We followed the instructions is the TLS Configuration Utility KB article, downloaded the RPM file and moved it to the server. We SSH to the server and run the command from the instructions rpm -Uvh VMware-vSphereTlsReconfigurator-version-build_number.x86_64.rpm
We then get and error that RPM is not found.
I'm not sure how this is possible since to my understanding ESXi 6.5 uses RPM during initial installation.
Has anyone ever experienced something like this? Any ideas how to get RPM on this ESXi server so I can install the TLS Configuration Utility?
Hi @RSInfra ,
This rpm(linux) or msi(Windows) needs to be installed on a local machine. Once the installation is done, you will have the scripts for vCenter and ESXi at respective locations. Refer the results section of the article that you had referred.
Once you have the scripts, you can refer
Hope that helps
