ESXi 6.5 - Lost Volume / Datastore

Hi All,

Let's try this once again.  My ESXi 6.5 installation has lost a volume and associated datastore, which housed 9 virtual machines.  All 9 of the virtual machines are showing as "Invalid" in the GUI.  Would like to try to recover the volume.  Any recommendations on where to start?

You must try to find why esxi lost communication with volume. Is it local, iscsi fc ? 

If local, check if in BIOS disks are ok, and if esxi sees device

If iSCSI, check network, if esxi also sees devices. 

If FC, just check if volumes are ok, cables, etc. 

If esxi sees device, try to run some recovery tools, ie Hiren's Boot.

Volume was local.  Esxi can still see device.  Looks like I need to try to run some recovery tools (i.e. HIren's Boot).
