ESXi 6.5.0 (Build 4887370) SRCSAS144e can't create datastore

Hi Everyone,

I have 1 drive on this controller set to raid0 for testing purposes, this drive/controller set up works under ubuntu so I a assuming its not a hardware fault.

I am unable to create a datastore web client gives the following error:

partedUtil getptbl always returns unknown

Any idea how to fix this?

Logs attached and im happy to provide any additional logs or output.

In the vmkernel.log:
