Hello all,
Is anybody aware of SATA ExpressCard adapters that are supported by ESXi?
My use case:
I am investigating the possibility to use a SATA ExpressCard in my laptop (to connect some external hard drives in a multi-bay enclosure). Most of the vendors advertise only Windows or Mac OS support. The laptop runs VMWare (ESXi 5) and VM NAS storage software (based on FreeBSD).
For this solution to run, I need to ask:
a) Anyone aware of a vendor or card that is supported?
b) Anyone aware of a RAID ExpressCard supported by ESXi?
Thanks a lot for any help that you can provide.
Kind regards.
you can find the list of supported SATA-RAID cards in ESXi 50 from VMware HCL. Choose the one which is compatible with the laptop.

Select IO-Device type as SAS/SATA-RAID and Product Release Version as ESXi 5.0.
