Just recently, my ESX box has started crashing with PSOD exception 14. I thought this was being caused by 1 particular VM (as it appeared in every PSOD) but the VM isn't even running now, and it's just happened again.
I found an article on the VMware support site, but it basically suggests that I raise a support request, which I cannot do, as I don't have a support contract.
Not really sure where to go from here - can anyone point me in the right direction? I just want some way to potentially narrow down the cause.
Troubleshooting a PSOD requires more of the detail from the PSOD screen. Can you post a picture of the PSOD screen, or a transcript of its contents?
Cheers,

Exception 14 is usually a driver / hardware issue. Have there been any hardware changes recently?
Also, if you have the CoreDump, attach here. Failing that a picture of the PSOD may help.
Have seen psod 14 related to VM's running E1000-adapter (VMware ESXi 5.x host experiences a purple diagnostic screen mentioning E1000PollRxRing, E1000DevRx a...) or possibly a Nexus 1000v version 4.2(1)SV2(2.1a) bug (CSCum53250).
The old E1000 PSOD issue will actually say "E1000" in the PSOD output. This has been fixed in patches ove the last year or so.
We'll need a picture of the PSOD screen or logs to confirm
