ESXi 5 Free with NAS as VM Container

Question about Free version of VMware esxi 5..

if i wanted to use a NAS would i run into any complications?  Is there a special agent needed for the vmware to communicate with NAS

Comparing the free VMware to Hyper V Enterprise I have done some research, i am thinking i will run both side by side and see the difference for myself.

Anyone run into any issues with Hyper V  I am worried about the limitation of VMs per Enterprise box.. I believe its 4

Also if someone could recommend an entry level NAS with the Proper Raid setup that would be great.  Been looking around at the new hardware just havent jumped yet want to hear what the community has to say

Also good basic thin clients that work in a production environment.
