ESXi 5.5

Hello everyone,

I  am a new student who is very interested in learning VMware. Now I am facing a problem that I could not figure out. I have installed two host, one is windows server 2012 and the other is Darn Linux, and neither one of them is able to connect to the internet.

I can not even ping the gateway. Could anyone please direct me the problem and how to fix it.

Please have look at the attachments for references.

Thank you for your help and have a great day.

Are you able to ping the ESXi host's Management Network address from the virtual machines?

What type/model of physical switch do you use? Some switches have port security enabled by default, which restricts the number of MAC addresses allowed on a single physical port.

Out of curiosity. You marked my reply as the correct answer. Does this mean that you were able to solve the issue by changing some port and/or security settings on the physical switch (which ones)?

André

PS: After posting this, I saw your latest reply. Replacing the switch is certainly one option Smiley Wink
