ESXi 5.5 with two physical CPU

Hi,

Currently, I need to expand to  2 CPU my ESXi 5.5 server to install more RAM, but I'm not sure if I can install a second CPU with my current license (see pic)

I read in this forum that the phrase "Licensed for 1 physical CPU" not refers to the maximum number of CPUs that can be installed,  just the number of CPUs that are already installed.

Can anyone confirm this information?

Thanks

ESXi 5.5 is licensed per physical CPU

So if you don't have no more free licenses then you can't install another CPU...

I'm not aware of a socket/processor limit for the free Hypervisor edition. After you install a second CPU in the host, you should see the proper license information.

If you installed the multiple CPU in the single host it will not work. Since in the Single ESXi host you can apply 1 License.
