ESXi 5.5 to 6.0 U3 - can't find the datastore with ESXi installation

Hello, I have a DL380 G6 with ESXi 5.5 and I want to upgrade it to 6.0 U3. But the ESXi installer can't find Datastore1 (here is the ESXi installation). All other Datastores can be found. And the other datastores are the same HDDs.

When ESXi is started, I can see Datastore1 and work with it.

Can somebody tell me what I can do?

I also thought about to install ESXi on one of the other disks, but then there is still the other ESXi installation at the start.

Hello,

DL380 G6 is not supported to be upgraded to 6.0. The maximum supported version of ESXi is ESXi 5.5 U3.

Thanks,

Hi, yes I know,

but the server works fine with 6.0.0 and a lot of other people works with this compilation.

It is just strange because in the systemstate view I can see the RAID disk

I upgraded it to vmfs 5 first. Maybe it is really a compatibility problem with the first raid

In ILO there is a Backplane firmware version with 1.16, is that the controller version? Otherwise the systemrom is 10/01/2009

What is a RAID controller card you use in server?

Have you tried HPE custom ESXi iso for upgrade?

As well you can use esxcli software vib upgrade command and zip archive to upgrade from 5.5 and preserver local raid controller driver.
