ESXi 5.5 installation error

I am trying to install HP ESXi 5.5 update 2 from mapped drive to HP DL380 using HP ILO/ remote console ( selecting Image file CD/DVD ROM option in Remote console). I am getting following error after 25% of installation


ISOLINUX: Disk error 80; AX= 4270, drive 9F Boot failed , press any key to retry

Any idea?

Hi sunny,

Did you do an MD5 check on the downloaded ISO?

It sounds like it may be a corrupt image to me.

EDIT: there are also known issues with HP iLO that upgrading the iLO Firmware may resolve this issue.

Thanks Steven! I verified checksum and it matches with downloaded ISO. Actually I have downloaded ISO image and saved it on shared drive and I am trying to install using HP ILO remote console but my inetrnet connect is slow and takes hours to pull the image from ESXi server. Is there a way i can move this image to local SATA (BTW, ESXI is a bare metal server)

Resolved...I was getting this error because of slow internet connection.
