ESXi 5.5 HP3500yl Port Trunking

Hi,

we have a HP 3500yl and an HP C3000 with some Blades in it - using one passthroug modul.

I want to configurate a Porttrunk between two ports on the 3500yl and the two ports of the blade.

i read kb1004048 and did everything mentioned.

The HP was configurated with

trunk 43-44 trk3 trunk

and on the ESXi i set the Route based on IP Hash option.

if only one cable is connected to the switch everything is fine if the second one is plugged-in the connection gets lost.

can somebody help ?

Before going into details, please double check that both uplinks (vmnics) are active in the vSwitch as well as in the port-group and both are configured with the IP-Hash policy. I had issues in the past where the vSwitch settings were not inherited by the port group by default.

we solved the Problem using vim-cmd. The settings made in the GUI wasnt accepted .
