ESXi, 5.5.0host restarts once in a week

Hi There,

Ik have the following situation: I had three ESX 4.0 vmware hosts that worked without any problems fo about 3 years. After a network change I reinstalled 2 of the hosts with VMware ESXi, 5.5.0, 1623387 (new installation). One of the hosts (the one that I installed first)  runs without any problem now for about 4 months now. The second one does a reboot about once a week (avarage). At that moment  when I look at the vsphere center I see that all vm's are down (autostart is not enabled), and when I start the vm's I see a error that Windows isn't correctly shutdown.

I am looking what cources this problem but I cannot find any problems. I looked in the alarm and events and through all possible setting in the Vpshere server but I cannot see why te server reboot.

Van anybody tell mee if there is a possibility to see some system logs?

Both server are HP Proliant DL380 G6 Servers with a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5550 @ 2.67GHz processor.

Thanks,

Marcel

Hi,

I have same server in my enshrinement and it's working without any problem.

Just I've applied latest patch on that. If you can, please share "vmkernel.log" or try to find "Warning/Error" lines on that.

Also ESXi stores a core dump file when purple screen is happened, you can check it and share the log file.
