ESXi 5.1 vSphere Client VM Unknown (inaccessible)

I have a HP server with 2 vms running ESXi.

The power went out and although the server has a battery backup the server was manually powered off.  1 VM came back up but the other says Unknown (inaccessible).

When I went into the datastore I see the 2 vmdk files (C.vmdk & E.vmdk).

I have a good backup back is there a way I can get this back up and running without restoring from the backup?

It looks like some files are missing but I'm not sure what it's suppose to look like.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you!

Gabe

I understand you have the folder for the lost VM available when you browse the datastore.

In that folder you have the vmdk's for the 2 disks of VM.

we not now construct a new VM and use existing disks and check.

Create a new VM on the ESXi, while assigning the disks check the option "Use existing disk"

mount the C: drive as the first drive and the E:drive as second disk.

powered on the VM and check.

If you could share a screen shot from the browse datastore page it will be nice
