ESXi 5.1 HP Smart Array P420i Controller Alarm

Hello

One of our VM hosts in VSphere Client is showing an alarm in the Hardware Status for the HP Smart Array P420i Controller. I have noticed that it has been noted that this can be a false warning, and this may be down to a firmware version issue, but each example of that has been accompanied by a screenshot of the error with the firmware message in the details. I do not have that or indeed anything else in the details. It is the case however that in checking the iLO for the host that it advises the controller is OK. I include a screenshot of the error below. Anybody else had this issue?

Many Thanks

I have experienced the same issue with P410i and after updating to the latest HP Offline bundle, the warning has not returned.

The February 2013 version of the HP Offline Bundle contained a bug which caused this warning. If you have this version installed consider to upgrade to the latest Offline Bundle to ensure it's not a "real" hardware issue.
