XCOPY is used when a clone or migrate operation (such as a Storage vMotion) is initiated from a vSphere host, and we want the array to handle the operation on our behalf. vSphere hosts can be configured to enable the EXTENDED COPY SCSI command. When examining VAAI status in esxtop, you may see this counter increment in batches of 8 because the default size of a Full Copy transfer is 4MB. With a 32MB I/O size, this gave batches of 8 for a full XCOPY I/O. The opcode for XCOPY is 0×83.

I know what XCOPY does and what it is used for, I am looking to change the number of threads that can be run at the same time.  The default is 8, need to change it to 16.  Also need to know where to change the IOs waiting setting.

Hi

I don't think you can change it 8 to 16 , if you are looking faster copy process you may test below tools.
