There is no way to verify whether a VM exported as an OVA will re-deploy as VMware does not provide a md5sum for the file which can be checked and verified against on the system where the OVA has been transferred to.
If any transfer errors occur on the exported OVA and a Redeploy OVA is attempted on such a file then VMware starts transmitting the entire file back to the ESXi server which can literally take hours depending on the size of the OVA and state that the OVA failed verification at 99%.
I believe this should be fixed in future releases.
