ESXi 4.1 host lost permissions within vSphere ESXi host settings grayed out

After performing an ESXi test on backing up the image/config  (AKA firmware) file and restoring it I noticed that all of the settings on the ESXi 4.1 host are grayed out see screenshot.  I get a permissions error when I try to manage this host through PowerGui or PowerCLi.  I'm able to manage the host when I'm connected directly to it with the vSphere Client and ssh, VCLi.  I already  tried to reset the vpxuser by taking the Admin permissions away and then adding it back.

I figured it out. I had added my user under the permissions tab and realized that it conflicted with my security group that I was already a part of. I had another admin log in and delete my account that I manually added.

I replyed to my question as I figured the problem out.

I figured it out.

I had added my user under the permissions tab and realized that it conflicted with the security group that was already in the permissions tab within vCenter/vSphere which my user name was already a part of. I had another admin log in to vCenter and delete my account that I manually added and it worked.
