ESXi 4.1 - VM Hard Disk Size

Hi all,

I created a VM with a dsik size of 30GB within my datastore. Recently i decided that i would increase it's disk size to 90GB, i goto to the "edit settings" option on the actual VM and increased to size of the hard disk. When i start my machine up it still only shows i have 30GB, but through vsphere client it shows 90GB.

Is there a reason for this? I need to increase the size.

Cheers

You will need to increase the partition size inside the OS of the VM. Depends on what OS you use how it is done. In Windows there's the "disk management" where you can extend your partitions. There you sould see your 30GB partition on a 90GB disk.
