ESXi 4.1 Update Installs But Displays Old Version

Hi. Am currently on VMware ESXi 4.1.0 build-348481 on ESXI 4.1 free. That release is from Feb 2011 and I want to patch it so I applied 4.1 Update 2 earlier using esxupdate which ran through ok. After a reboot, my ESXi host is still saying it's running the old version.

~ # vmware -v
VMware ESXi 4.1.0 build-348481

If I try applying it again, it says Update is already applied.

# esxupdate update --bundle=/vmfs/volumes/50fc3a76-96afd24c-8f3f-001b212bb5a4/tmp/update-from-esx4.1-4.1_update02.zip

Any ideas? Thanks.

What version is shown if you are logging in to ESXi with your vSphere client?
I had a similar issue, after a reboot it was resolved...
