Hello,
I currently clearing out unused VM's from the Datastore. For some of them, I did not use the exact Datastore name for the VM when importing as a Virutual Machine.
By checking the .vmx modification dates, I have identified the live VM's and the VM's that can be deleted. Before I clear them out, I wanted to check if there is any way of telling 100% what corresponding VM datastore files are.
Thanks in advance
Are you asking about all files or just the vmdk (virtual disk) files?
To find out which vmdk files are in use you can either check the latest vmware.log file (this includes all snapshots, if any) or use something like RVTools. http://www.robware.net/
If this does not answer your queston, it might help if you had an example for this.
André
Hi Andre,
RVTools gives me all the info I need.
Thanks very much for your response.
