ESXi 4.1 Installation Error while trying to install on DELL T5500

This issue is coming on DELL T5500 trying to install through DVD in interactive mode

Hardware Spec:

Intel E5620 2.4 Ghz CPU

Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller

16 GB RAM

2* 1 TB SATA hard disks

Error Message:

vmfs3Module.Load()

/lib/python2.5/vmkctl.py" line 11328, in Load

def Load(args): return_vmctkl.ModuleImpl_Load(args)

vmkctl.HostCtlException: Unable to load module /usr/lib/vmware/vmkmod/vmfs3:Failure

Already verified following community links but found no solution:

I figured it out that NIC should not be a issue as it is listed in the HCL for current release ESXi 4.1

Any HELP will be really appreciated.

Thanks much!

Already tried steps:

1) Changed the SATA mode in BIOS(DELL A06 version) as ATA as well as tried with AHCI

2) Enabled both Virtualization options in BIOS

3) Formated Hard disk by installing Windows 7 and trying to install ESXi server on top on it.

Thanks for the reply. I verified the NIC used in the machine DELL T5500 and it seems that integrated Broadcom® 5754 Gigabit Ethernet controller is not listed in the compatibililty list. The last broadcom NIC mentioned is NetXtreme BCM5752M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express. Do you see it as a possible issue. Also I looked at mentioned server list on the mentioned link but these links seems not be updated for new ESXi 4.1 version. Site mentions Dell Precision Workstation T7400 compatible with ESXi 4.0 & 3.5. The pc in question is new variant of same DELL series T5500.

If anybody has any other suggestion which I can try please let me know. I have been stuck on this issue for soo long now.

Thanks in advance!
