Trying to find out what my options are for upgrading from ESXi embedded (on SD card) for Dell M600 blade. My understanding from the documentation is as follows:
- Upgrade embedded (this has a risk of removing OEM drivers, etc.)
- Install ESXi installable (need to disable embedded)
Also the method used to do the upgrades:
- vCenter Update Mgr (preferred)
- host update utility
- new install (lose vCenter statistics, etc.)
Anyone have any experience with this? good or bad?
