ESXi 4.0.0 build 261974 disconnects from vcenter

Hi,

we have a new host ESXi 4.0.0 build 261974 and when we import it to our vcenter, all seems ok. But a few minutes later (sometimes 2 minutes, sometimes 3 minutes, sometimes 15) the host disconnects without any previous error. The only way to reconnect host is using (again) the Connect option Smiley Happy

We don't find any document that explains a similar situation. Anybody know what it happens? What can we do?

Thanks in advance for any support.

Marc

Looks like duplicate IP on the network.

I check it, and there's no IP duplicated on the network.

Thanks for your answer.

Confirm if you have enough space on all the partitions (especially /tmp partition.) We faced the same issue and found tha the /tmp was utilized to its fullest.

Solved!

It was a DNS issue. The host could not resolve DNS queries.

ESXi was behind a firewall and after open port 53 it worked automatically

Thanks to all.
