ESXi 3.5 sh process running and using 50% of CPU

I am running VMware ESX Server 3i Version 3.5.0 Build 123629. I noticed a lot of activity on my CPU Real-time report. I am able to determine that there is a process running:

ID 11793

GID 11793

NAME sh.3870922

NWLD 1

%USED 94.79 to 102.49

%RUN (same as above)

$SYS 0.00

%WAIT 0.00

%RDY 0.75 to 18.05

It started on Sunday night around 8:30pm and I don't have any automatic processes running.

Any idea what it could be and how to get rid of it?

I ran a /sbin/services.sh restart and that didn't fix it.

Any ideas would be aapreciated. Thank you

If you have no scheduled jobs or transfers you might try

1) ps | grep inetd

The above will give you a process ID

2) kill -HUP Dave
