ESXI 5.5 u1 severs crashing randomly

hello ,

we have upgraded our ESXi  Cluster from ESXi 5.1 U to ESXi 5.5 u1, After up gradation ESXi servers crashing randomly with  lot of SCSI errors.

We are using IBM SVC. what will happend if we  not configure correct the  multipath policy to ESXi servers ?

Try to apply latest ESXi 5.5 patches (5.5.0c) for resolving issue.

I suggest you to contact VMware support.

Yes, it is better to upgrade to latest patch for some critical security issues i.e heartbleed.

Hi,

we are having the same problems with ESXi 5.5.0 U2 and SVC.


The error messages are the same as in your log:

Its problem  with overload of SVC cache. please check with  your storage team.

Please conduct a test to see if its the storage or the ESXi, try using the same esxi version in lab with software based storage such as openfiler and test it, if it still crashes, apply the patch if not, you know the problem then!
