Good moring
Per default the IBM HS22 BladeServer has two Networkcards. We bought an expansion to have four NICs. But after i installed the expansion and start ESX i get the following Error:
"Couldn't setup IRQ11 with vector 209".
I found this article which describes exactly my problem: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=100381
...but: the IBM HS22 uses UEFI instead of a BIOS and i was not able to find a setting to configure IRQ-settings.
any ideas?

I'm getting the same error. Let me know if you get an answer to this issue.
My understanding is IBM is working on a new UEFI version to address this issue. The x3650 M2's have a similar problem and the 1.03 UEFI is supposed to resolve it. I'm not sure if there will be a corresponding 1.05 for the HS22's as well; are you already running 1.04?
We are on the 1.03. I thought this was the latest....I will check for the 1.04 though...thanks

IBM told me that VMware and UEFI are working together on a solotion, but i don't have any updates now.

Has this issue been resolved? I am now running into the same exact problem.
The problem has not been fixed yet. Still waiting on VMware to distribute fix...
Official Message from IBM Support:
" The message occurs due to the amount of devices that will
request a PIRQA. The PCI bridges within the Northbridge chip
are seen requesting IRQs which will present with the other
PIRQAs such as network adapters and storage devices. This
message is informational only and does not have any
performance impact."
A fix should be release by end of october.
Has this issue been resolved yet?

I'll post the fix when resolved.
