ESX4.1 installation need help

Dear Team,

We are planning to install ESX4.1 on following Hardware where ESX4.0 already installed and running fine. Just want to know before installing esx4.1 what needs to be take into an account

ESX Server hardware details.

Server : IBM System x3650

CPU Cores: 2 CPUs x 2.992 GHz

Processor Scokets: 1

Cores Per Socket : 2

Number of NICS: 2

Network Adapter Model: Broadcom Corporation Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5708 1000Base-T

If 4.0 is already installed I do not think you will have an issue with hardware compatability -

You mean to say esx4.0 is running fine then 4.1 will also work???

Yes if you already had 4.0, it will  also support 4.1.

I agree with . Always check the HCL before upgrading, and make sure the server model, RAID controller, network adapters, ... are supported. Also don't forget to upgrade vCenter Server prior to upgrading the hosts (if they are manager by vCenter Server). See VMware Product Interoperability Matrixes for supported configurations.
