I'm running ESX 4 and I have a couple of boxes that are exibiting the same behavior. When I try to ls or cd into the directory that contains my storage for each host, the system hangs on that command. If I let it timeout on it's own, it takes about 30-45 minutes. If I catch it early enough, I can CTRL-C and get my prompt back.
I don't want to reboot the machine since there are VM's still running. Has anyone had this same issue before? I'm somewhat new to the trouble shooting side of ESX, so any help is greatly appreciated. And if I need to provide some more info, just let me know what is needed.
