ESX Installer stops on "Relocating modules and starting up the kernel"

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to install VMware ESX 5.5 by issuing commands step-by-step in order to determine where the installer actually fails and obtain error codes or messages that are not displayed by the ESX Installer during an interactive install.
