We currently are running ESX 5.5 and have a Mac Pro host that has an external USB drive attached to it. I am able to add this device to an OS X VM running 10.10 and it shows up in the OS X System information application under USB devices, but the drive itself never mounts. It is a standard Mac OS Extended (Journaled) formatted disk. Any ideas why the VM cannot access it?
We need to access to the drive so we can "P2V" it using migration assistant.
