ESX 4.0 supported on vCenter 5.5?

Hi Guys,

Hoping to get some feedback. We have an old ESX 4.0 host connected to vCenter 5.5.

Is this configuration supported? Is vCenter 5.5 compatible with ESX 4.0?

Tried to use the VMware Product Interoperability Matrixes but it only shows VMware vSphere Hyperviso (ESXi).

Best Regards,

Mike

Yes, it is compatible, but take in mind that if you plan upgrade your vCenter to version 6.0, your host will no more be compatible and you will have to upgrade the host before upgrade the vCenter.

Note that your ESX 4.0 is no longer supported by VMware: End of Availability and End of Support Life for ESX 4.x and VMware Management Assistant 1.0 and 4.0 ...
