ESX 4.0 U1 installation stuck

Hi ,

I have installing ESX 4.0 U1 on brand new server 56xx processor with 2GB RAM. During the installation im getting an error message saying " There is no enough memory available to load VMKernel. 2032628 KB of ram was detect, but we require atleast 2064384 KB RAM to boot . Aborting boot"

In bios scrren , it shows 2048 MB Ram detected but i dont know why vmware shows that less than 2GB.

Depending on your hardware, the system may use some of the memory (64MB in your case) for internal use - I assume for the graphic adapter - and only presents the rest to the OS. You may have a chance to reduce this RAM reservation in the BIOS to e.g. 32MB. However, 2GB is the absolute minimum configuration. If you want to run VM's on that system you have to add RAM anyway.
