ERSPAN from ESX

Hello,

I configured ERSPAN from ESX to Cisco 6509 and can see now packets from ESX host.

But ESX sending data as GRE Transparent ethernet bridging when it must be GRE ERSPAN with ERSPAN header.

I think that this is the reason why Cisco not forwarding this data to SPAN destination port.

Can anybody help with this? Maybe some setting on ESX?

I know that it works with 1000v, but I am really want to know if it can be fixed with ESX.

Hi ,

From Ciso website nexus is supported , But If you have VDS (distributed switch )on the vsphere environment you can check this it  should work  , i have not tested this .
