Don't Understand how the provisioning works between VM's. Confused!

Hello everyone. We just purchased vSphere 4. I'm very noob since we've only had it a week. I have successfully created 2 VM's both Win2k3 server. I don't understand the how the provisioning and disk space used & free works. Something just doesn't add up here. Wondering if someone can clarify this for me.

In the vClient under Summary I'm seeing:

DATASTORE

LOCALSTORAGE CAPACITY 556.50 GB FREE 528.30 GB

As I said above, I have 2 VM's. (one is provisioned @ 100GB & the other @ 60GB.

104.03GB PROVISIONED 6.54GB USED SPACE

64.03GB PROVISIONED 2.55KB USED SPACE <--- what the heck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^ I don't userstand why the 2nd VM is only showing up as 2.55KB of Used Space. Is this a 'bug' with vSphere 4. Obviously it's much higher that 2.55KB.

When I goto create a 3rd VM, This shows which makes no sense:

CREATING VM

556.50 GB CAPACITY PROVISIONED 125.68 FREE 528.30

^ Why on earth does it show 125.68 Provisioned? It should show as approximately 160GB provisioned with the above 2 VM's.

Thanks for any info.
