Does WFC not supported by ESXi 5.5 ?

Hello;

I have a clustered Esxi 5.5 U1 and use a FC shared storage. I 'll install a clustered MS SQL 2012 on ESXi 5.5 first time but I'm sure that I am not the first one who attempt to install clustered SQL Server 2012 on the world.

I installed 2 Windows 2012R2 VMs and clustered them. Each one runs on different hosts as I set it on DRS rules. Also I shared several VMDK disks between these VMs. It looks like everything works.

When I attempt install MS SQL 2012 on to my clustered Windows virtual machines can not pass the cluster validation tests, SQL complains that my cluster doesn't has "SCSI-3 Persistent Reservation" feature.

If you choose deploy MSCS cluster using VMDK, all nodes must reside on the same ESXi host, see:

I recommend you read the KB article: Microsoft Clustering on VMware vSphere: Guidelines for supported configurations (1037959)

And here is the direct link to the Setup for Failover Clustering and Microsoft Cluster Service guide.

I've read these PDF documents. I've learned that paravirtual scsi adapters are not supported by MCS.

I didn't understand supported shared storage configurations table.

I don't know what is RDM but I set SCSI Bus Sharing as "Phsycial" . Is it what vmware recommendeds?
