Does ESX support using Update Manager to update a VM that is running a guest O/S of Server 2008 R2 ??

I cannot seem to get this to work.

Seems like since the O/S is support as a guest O/S on ESX 4 Update 1a that i should be able to use VMware Update Manager to patch it.

Anyone get this working??

According to the release notes 2008 R2 is not supported for scanning and remediation
