I am implementing a new VMware ESXi server.
Where can I locate technical documentation about the way ESXi (but I presume ESX as well...) manages resources (memory, CPU, disk, ...) and the way I can monitor and control the use of resources?
My goal is getting the best from ESXi and supported VMs in order to promote virtualization...
Season greetings and regards

Have a look under the Virtualization Management section.
There are loads in there. e.g:
VM2711 | VI Performance Optimization: From the Datacenter to the Desktop |
VM3566 | Best Practices for Managing and Monitoring Storage in vSphere |

Hi Marius,
Regarding Memory Management:
http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/techpaper/vsp_41_perf_memory_mgmt.pdf
Regarding how the CPU scheduler works:
http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/techpaper/VMW_vSphere41_cpu_schedule_ESX.pdf
If you are looking for more 'real world' examples of how to monitor and control resources, you may want to register for an account on vmworld.com and look through some of the past Sessions and Labs.
Dan
I created the account in vmworld as suggested.
Can anybody point to any specific docuiment or presentation?
