Do we discuss ghettoVCB here? My snapshot fails everytime and I can't see why???

Hi.

I'm not sure if this is discussed in this community, but thought I would try as many people use GhettoVCB to do their VM snapshot backups.

I have a server that fails to backup every time and leaves a snapshot file each time it does so causing subsequent backup to fail as it says there is already a snapshot file detected. To get round this initial problem, I used Acronis to create a new image of the server, then built the server again so it does not have the snapshot files etc, yet when the backup runs, it produces the following and this happens no matter where I point the backup to go to even though the other VM's backup ok:

Would appreciate help and someone who can point me in the right direction with this.

Many thanks.

Although you may get answers here, I'd suggest you repost your question in the ghettoVCB or ghettoVCBg2 group (depending on the version you use).

Have you tried to create snapshot for gadc01-VM manually (i.e. with vSphere-client)? That could narrow down the problem:

If creating snapshot fails even when you try it with vSphere-client, then the problem is not caused by ghettoVCB.

If you can create snapshot with vSphere but not with ghettoVCB, then there is definitely some problem in backup-script.
