I'm running ESXi4 U1 (totally up to date). I'm using a local datastore. I've noticed on a few occasions that when I delete files, the space is not freed up from my datastore. I just deleted a 50GB VM folder, and the disk usage stayed the same. It did this for approx 100GB two weeks ago. I verified that the files were deleted from the datastore using the Datastore Browser. I've tried refreshing the datastore in the vSphere Client, but it still stays the same. How do I regain my space?
