Hello All -
Is there a way to disable the network interface on a virtual machine's nic? We have an application group that wants to simulate a network failure in conjunction with MSCS - I don't necessarily agree with the need for this type of test, but am attempting to determine if this can be accomplished from a functional perspective.
Our ESX hosts have virtual machine networks configured off of 4 port nic mezzanine cards, and I do not wish to touch the VM network vswitch as any part of this testing.
Thanks for any help you can provide -
Steve

Yes, in the VM's settings, for each of the NICs assigned to the VM you will find a checkbox "Connected". Unchecking it is like pulling the network cable.
