My goal here is to use PCI-Express NIC Cards and allow VMs to have direct control over the hardware. I have a Cisco UCS C210 M2 which has VT-d Support and is enabled. I am able to add the NICs into the passthrough config, after which it informs me that i need to reboot the host to enable them. I reboot the host and it still is saying a reboot is needed to enable these devices. Looking for any ideas on TroubleShooting this and getting these cards or ports on the carrds to be assinable under a VM's settings.
thanks
Brian
I have the same problem. Did you get a chance to find a solution?
Thank you!
In order to resolve this (assuming that the device is behind an ACS capable switch), run the following command on the host:
esxcfg-advcfg -k TRUE disableACSCheck
Then reboot the system.
The above info was relayed to me by a co-worker and it worked for us. ymmv
thanks
